Mr. Andelina Osap Gacanovic, engineer of architecture and master of monument restoration Mr. Andelina Osap Gacanovic (born in 1979 in Jajce), graduated engineer of architecture and master of monument restoration. She completed her undergraduate studies in architecture in 2006 at the Faculty of Architecture and Civil Engineering in Banja Luka, with a diploma thesis on the topic "Revitalization of the historical plateau in Jajce", since when she has been developing her interest in the topic of revitalization of architectural heritage. She became a scholarship holder of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Spain in 2007 for a master's degree in the restoration of architectural monuments at the Polytechnic of Catalonia in Barcelona, graduating in 2009. Period of studies and the beginning of her professional career were marked by numerous international exchanges, scholarships for professional and scientific training, competitions, international travel, and the first professional jobs. During her studies, she was the founder and national representative of the National Committee of the European Architecture Student Assembly (EASA) in Bosnia and Herzegovina. In 2002, together with her study colleagues, she founded the association of students of architecture "Eco City Group", whose president she was for four years, and which in the spring of 2003 organized SESAM, the international meeting of students of architecture in Banja Luka. During her graduate internship, she worked for six months at the architectural firm "Joao de Paula arquitectura" in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. During her stay at the master's degree in Barcelona, she participated in the development of intervention project proposals at the medieval construction fund of Berge and Barcelona under the auspices of UNESCO. The last 15 years have been marked by work in the profession, on the design of buildings in various architectural and construction companies, on the United Nations Development Programs (UNDP BiH), independent engagement in projects in the field of restoration of architectural heritage, building construction and interiors. For the Swiss company "ZMG consulting" and the market, she works on energy efficient residential prefabricated buildings. In the period from 2015 to 2021, she was employed in the City Administration of the City of Banja Luka, in the Department for Local Economic Development and Strategic Planning, on positions of large investments development, cooperation with investors and business zones. In the period from 2011 to 2013, she worked part-time as an assistant at the Faculty of Architecture and Civil Engineering in Banja Luka on the subjects "Revitalization of architectural heritage" and "Bioclimatic architecture". She is the founder and member of several domestic and foreign associations, the holder of a license for preparation of technical documentation, and a license for audit and supervision. Since 2013, she has been the holder of the license for real estate evaluation and works as an appraiser in the construction and architectural profession; participant in numerous scientific and professional gatherings and competitions. She is an official translator for English and Spanish, and also actively uses Portuguese. She currently lives and works in Banja Luka. |
Faruk Kapidzic, graduated engineer of architecture Faruk Kapidzic, graduated engineer of architecture, born in Sarajevo in 1971. He participated in 20 competitions, of which several were first prizes, and some of them were later constructed (Olympic Swimming pool Otoka in Sarajevo, Islamic Center in Zenica). Winner of the Idea Award at the annual Colegium Artisticum exhibitions (2003 and 2005), and winner of the 2006 Grand Prix for Architecture. In February 2004, together with his father Ahmet Kapidzic, he was nominated for the Aga Khan Award for Architecture for the reconstruction and revitalization of the war-devastated building of the Faculty of Islamic Sciences in Sarajevo. In the period from 2003 to 2009, he worked as an assistant - external associate at the Faculty of Architecture in Sarajevo on the subject of public buildings with Professor Kika Karic. Since 2012, owner and director of ADS studio company. From March 2020 to January 2021, he performed the function of the Minister of Physical Planning, Construction and Environmental Protection in the Government of the Sarajevo Canton. From 1996 to 2020 he worked on the following projects in the field of reconstruction, revitalization, renovation and redesign: Faculty of Islamic Sciences in Sarajevo / nomination for the Aga Khan Award; Church of St. Mary and the tower of St. Luka in Jajce; Klek Mosque in Klek - Rama Window; The Emperor's Mosque in Sarajevo; Vrbanjusa Mosque in Sarajevo and Sasa Mosque - Srebrenica.
