Visit to Maglaj and Doboj Municipalities / 07 July 2006

The meeting in Maglaj was held on 07 July 2006 at 10:30 hours. The meeting was attended by the members of the Commission and its staff, and:  the Mayor and the representatives of respective Departments for Urban Planning, Surveying and Property-Legal Issues, and Land-Registry Office of the Municipal Court.

After the meeting, the participants visited the Old Town of Maglaj, the Kuršumlija mosque and the Uzeirbegovića house.

The meeting in Doboj was held on 07 July 2006 at 15:30 hours. The meeting was attended by the members of the Commission and its staff, and representatives of the Municipality Doboj South: the Mayor, the President of the Municipal Assembly, and the representatives of respective departments for General Administration within the Spatial Planning Department, the Public Relations Office, the Branch Office of the Republic Administration for Surveying and Property-Legal Issues, the Land-Registry Office of the Municipal Court, the Museum in Doboj, the Organization for Tourist Development of the Region – Rotor. The representatives of the Municipality Doboj East did not respond to the invitation to attend the meeting.

After the meeting, the participants visited the Old Doboj Fort, the Selimija mosque and the Roman castrum.

The Commission introduced the meeting participants in both above stated municipalities to its authorities, current projects, objectives, and modus operandi, whereas the representatives of municipal bodies and institutions informed the Commission on local problems and activities taken in the field of protection of the cultural heritage in the territory of their municipality. Terms of future cooperation were agreed.
