The Commission shall work and make decisions at its sessions.

Sessions shall be convened by the chairperson, either alone or at the proposal of the members of the Commission, the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina or the Presidency of BiH.

Sessions of the Commission shall be ordinarily convened every two months.

Exceptionally, only if monuments are threatened by a significant damage, and when rehabilitation of monuments is permanently hindered, or at the request of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina or the Presidency of BiH, a session may be convened within a period shorter than seven days.

Meetings of the Commission shall be held, ordinarily, at the headquarters of the Commission.

The session is chaired by the Chairperson.

Sessions of the Commission shall be attended by the members, the executive officer, associates of the executive officer, and a minute taker.

Sessions may also be attended by interested persons referred to in Article 37 para 1 of Rules of Procedure, whereof the members shall be notified in the invitation for the session.

The Commission may hold a session if at least three of its members are present.

In exercising its powers, the Commission shall issue decisions, conclusions, instructions and other acts in accordance with Annex 8, the Decision on the Commission to Preserve National Monuments in BiH and other regulations of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Decisions on designation of properties as national monuments, decisions on temporary boundaries of national monuments, decision determining the property does not meet criteria to be designated as a national monument, decisions amending or repealing decisions on designation, as well as decisions on extension of the protection regime under Article 39 paragraph 3 of Rules of Procedure, shall be published in “Official Gazette of BiH” (enacting terms of decision) and on the official website of the Commission (full wording of the decision with elucidation).
